January 2018 Favorites

New year, new blog, and new goals. As January comes to an end, I have decided to start posting my monthly favorites throughout 2018. My favorites posts will contain a hodgepodge of my favorite products/things I have discovered throughout the month; all travel tools, fitness finds, and lifestyle must-haves.

My favorites will most likely be from Amazon because as an Amazon Prime member, the free shipping and quick deliveries has saved me while living overseas the past two years.

This month’s list consists of items I’ve ordered and loved and items that are on my wish list! Bonus: they all make for great gifts. Read below for more!

Rodan + Fields Lash Boost – This has been life changing. So I really didn’t start using this in January, but I had to include it in my favorites post because I use it almost everyday. My eyelashes have grown so much in the past few months that I really don’t even need to wear mascara! You can get it from Amazon, but a good family friend is actually a Rodan + Fields consultant.

Makeup Remover Reusable Towel – My mom just sent me one of these in the mail. I don’t know where this simple microfiber towel has been my whole life. This is THE best make up removal solution AND a money saver. Just add water and reuse!

Steve Madden Women’s Lancer Sneakers – These babies also come in grey, blush, blue, and red. A more fashionable approach to sneakers and perfect for all seasons.

Sound Whiz Wireless Running Headphones – After my wireless Beats broke.. I decided not to waste money on another pair and came across these puppies. The headphones are waterproof!

Ankle Straps for Cable Machines – These are on my current wish list and will be perfect for butt and leg exercises on the cable machine!

Volcano Candle, Capri Blue – smells like heaven in a jar

Essential Oil Diffuser – Even if you don’t believe in aromatherapy.. essential oils can help make your home smell nice. I love this diffuser specifically because it holds 500ml of water and can last all the way through the night! My go-to oils right now are lavender or peppermint before bed. Beneath a Scarlet Sky – While you have your candle lit, cozy up with this addicting novel about an Italian boy growing up in Milan during WWII. Based on a true story, Pino Lella guides hundreds of Jews to safety over the  Italian Alps into Switzerland. Throughout the years of war he experiences several serendipitous events that have you holding your breath as you turn each page. A motion picture is in the works, so read it before it turns into a movie!

Anker Portable Charger – Russell gave this to me for Christmas and it works like a charm! This reliable portable charger keeps days worth of charges for most devices, which is perfect for traveling!

Other Favorite Finds

Senita Athletics- The answer to cute, durable, and affordable gym clothing. Most of their sports bras have a pocket in the back for your cell phone which is a game changer. I was so sick of carrying my cell phone everywhere when switching gym equipment. Their workout pants also have the deep pockets on the side as another cell phone hideaway. After finding this site I will be staying away from Lululemon & their outrageous prices. Mamas – they even have adorable nursing sports bras!

Byta Cup – Since moving to Austria I have made a more conscious effort to recycle and be mindful of waste. I came across Byta on Instagram and started reading up on their story. They are a company that feels strongly about getting rid of disposable plastic and paper cups. I now carry my Byta to local coffee shops and also use the cup for water, tea, you name it. It keeps your drinks hot or cold for a long time. Although there are several products like this on the market, Byta is the perfect size cup AND Byta also gives back to ocean and forest conservation. A win for everyone!
